London Grid for Learning

The London Grid for Learning hosts occasional events for users. The current events are summarised below. For more events of interest to London teachers, see the other events section.

23 September 2010 – Bromley 'Future in Schools' Conference
Time - 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Location - Bishop Justus School

Bromley Schools Conference for Head Teachers and ICT Technical Staff

Bromley schools have witnessed significant change over the last 10 years where ICT has become a necessity within the learning mix.  Teaching and learning with its use of ICT is maturing and realizing excellent output.  However, the increased demand on infrastructure and technology creates some challenges for school leaders to maintain conducive ICT environments whilst the funding for many of these ICT incubators are slowly diminishing.

This conference aims to alert school to the changing funding for connectivity and future direction of the Local Authority to school ICT Support Services.  It also aims to highlight the services already available to school to ensure they maximise their ICT and broadband connectivity investment.

School Leaders will be advised on the implications of Government decisions on the Harnessing Technologies Funding and its impact on current and future budget resource decisions.
